Mesomelaena stygia adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia barat daya. Nama ilmiah Mesomelaena stygia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Brown pada tahun 1846.
