Mesostemma platyphyllum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Caryophyllaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim dingin (subalpin atau subarktik) di wilayah Afghanistan timur. Nama ilmiah Mesostemma platyphyllum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Karl Heinz Rechinger pada tahun 1981.
