Miconia chrysophylla merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Oaxaca, Chiapas), hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Nama ilmiah Miconia chrysophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Louis Claude Marie Richard pada tahun 1910.
