Miconia coccinea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Lesser Antilles hingga Guyana. Nama ilmiah Miconia coccinea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Louis Claude Marie Richard pada tahun 1991.
