Miconia punctata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Veracruz, Oaxaca, Chiapas), hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan auquey. Nama ilmiah Miconia punctata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Louis Auguste Joseph Desrousseaux pada tahun 1828.
