Miconia splendens merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga kawasan tropis Amerika. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan white-flower johnnyberry. Nama ilmiah Miconia splendens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Olof Peter Swartz pada tahun 1860.
