Miconia transversa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kolombia (Chocó, Valle). Nama ilmiah Miconia transversa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Allan Gleason pada tahun 1945.
