Miconia trichotoma merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Lesser Antilles. Nama ilmiah Miconia trichotoma diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Louis Auguste Joseph Desrousseaux pada tahun 1828.
