Miconia tristis subsp. australis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Brazil (São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina). Nama ilmiah Miconia tristis subsp. australis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama John Julius Wurdack pada tahun 1962.
