Microcharis microcharoides merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kenya hingga Tanzania. Nama ilmiah Microcharis microcharoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Hermann Wilhelm Taubert pada tahun 1992.
