Microcharis tritoides merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di kawasan tropis Afrika bagian timur laut, Jazirah Arab. Nama ilmiah Microcharis tritoides pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1992.
