Microcos heterotricha merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah India barat dan selatan, Kepulauan Nikobar. Nama ilmiah Microcos heterotricha pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1926.
