Microcos latifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Malaya hingga Kalimantan barat laut. Nama ilmiah Microcos latifolia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Max Burret pada tahun 1926.
