Microcos mildbraedii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat-tengah, Uganda barat daya, hingga Tanzania timur. Nama ilmiah Microcos mildbraedii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Max Burret pada tahun 1926.
