Microlepia firma merupakan tumbuhan epifit dari famili Dennstaedtiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari anak benua India, China (Sichuan, Yunnan) dan Indo-China, hingga Filipina. Nama ilmiah Microlepia firma pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg Heinrich Mettenius pada tahun 1869.
