Microtea scabrida merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Microteaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Brazil dan Argentina timur laut. Nama ilmiah Microtea scabrida diperkenalkan oleh Ignatz Urban pada tahun 1885.
