Microtropis discolor merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya timur hingga China (Yunnan selatan) dan Semenanjung Malaysia. Nama ilmiah Microtropis discolor pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1837.
