Microtropis platyphylla merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Celastraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kalimantan bagian utara hingga Filipina. Nama ilmiah Microtropis platyphylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elmer Drew Merrill pada tahun 1915.
