Mikania obtusata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Brazil (Minas Gerais, São Paulo). Nama ilmiah Mikania obtusata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Augustin Pyramus de Candolle pada tahun 1836.
