Millettia splendens merupakan tumbuhan perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh memanjat. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah India. Nama ilmiah Millettia splendens diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Wight pada tahun 1834.
