Millotia major merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Australia Barat bagian hingga Australia Selatan. Nama ilmiah Millotia major pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolai Stepanovitch Turczaninow pada tahun 1990.
