Mimosa lepidota merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Bolivia. Nama ilmiah Mimosa lepidota pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Theodor Carl Julius Herzog pada tahun 1909.
