Mimosa lewisii merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur laut. Nama ilmiah Mimosa lewisii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Rupert Charles Barneby pada tahun 1985.
