Monanthotaxis capea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Annonaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Pantai Gading tenggara, kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat-tengah. Nama ilmiah Monanthotaxis capea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Edmond Gustave Camus pada tahun 1971.
