Monarda fruticulosa merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Texas selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan spotted beebalm. Nama ilmiah Monarda fruticulosa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Clawson Epling pada tahun 1935.
