Monochaetum tenellum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Meksiko (Chiapas) hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Monochaetum tenellum pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Victor Naudin pada tahun 1850.
