Monolena pygmaea merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Melastomataceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari Kolombia (Chocó, Valle). Nama ilmiah Monolena pygmaea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Antonio Lorenzo Uribe Uribe pada tahun 1971.
