Monosis theophrastifolia merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang kawasan tropis Afrika bagian barat hingga Ethiopia dan Kenya. Nama ilmiah Monosis theophrastifolia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Georg August Schweinfurth pada tahun 2001.
