Moquilea tomentosa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Chrysobalanaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Brazil timur dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Moquilea tomentosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1840.
