Mora excelsa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Trinidad hingga Amerika Selatan bagian utara. Nama ilmiah Mora excelsa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1839.
