SCRATCHGRASS Muhlenbergiaasperifolia (Nees & Meyen ex Trin.) Parodi
Muhlenbergia asperifolia merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Utara, Bolivia hingga Amerika Selatan bagian selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan scratchgrass. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia asperifolia diperkenalkan oleh Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1928.
