Muhlenbergia atacamensis adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bolivia hingga Argentina barat laut. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia atacamensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Lorenzo Raimundo Parodi pada tahun 1948.
