Muhlenbergia gigantea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia gigantea diperkenalkan oleh Eugène Pierre Nicolas Fournier pada tahun 1935.
