Muhlenbergia inaequalis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma pegunungan tropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kolombia timur laut hingga Venezuela barat laut. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia inaequalis diperkenalkan oleh Thomas Robert Soderstrom pada tahun 1967.
