Muhlenbergia mexicana adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Utara hingga Meksiko timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan mexican muhly. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia mexicana diperkenalkan oleh Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1824.
