Muhlenbergia reverchonii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oklahoma hingga Meksiko tengah dan timur laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan seep muhly. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia reverchonii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Vasey pada tahun 1892.
