Muhlenbergia trifida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tenggara hingga Guatemala. Nama ilmiah Muhlenbergia trifida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Eduard Hackel pada tahun 1910.
