Musa coccinea adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan pohon dari famili Musaceae (suku pisang-pisangan) yang memiliki batang basah (herba). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari China (Yunnan tenggara hingga Guangdong) hingga Vietnam. Nama ilmiah Musa coccinea diperkenalkan oleh Henry Cranke Andrews pada tahun 1799.
