Myoporum laetum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Scrophulariaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Selandia Baru. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan ngaio tree. Nama ilmiah Myoporum laetum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama George Forster pada tahun 1786.
