Myrcia sericea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur laut. Nama ilmiah Myrcia sericea diperkenalkan oleh George Don pada tahun 1832.
