Myrsine latifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Primulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Amerika Selatan bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Myrsine latifolia diperkenalkan oleh Hipólito Ruiz López pada tahun 1824.
