Nabalus asper adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Nama ilmiah Nabalus asper pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis André Michaux pada tahun 1843.
