Nanuza plicata merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Velloziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Brazil timur. Nama ilmiah Nanuza plicata diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius pada tahun 1976.
