Nardophyllum armatum merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Bolivia hingga Argentina barat laut dan Chili utara. Nama ilmiah Nardophyllum armatum diperkenalkan oleh Hugh Algernon Weddell pada tahun 1901.
