Narthecium californicum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Nartheciaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Oregon barat daya hingga California tengah. Nama ilmiah Narthecium californicum diperkenalkan oleh John Gilbert Baker pada tahun 1876.
