Nassella lachnophylla merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Chili tengah. Nama ilmiah Nassella lachnophylla pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Bernhard von Trinius pada tahun 1990.
