Nasturtium microphyllum merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Brassicaceae (suku sawi-sawian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh pada genangan air (helofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan onerow yellowcress. Nama ilmiah Nasturtium microphyllum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Clemens von Bönninghausen pada tahun 1834.
