Nectandra laurel adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Lauraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Amerika Selatan bagian barat hingga Venezuela. Nama ilmiah Nectandra laurel diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Johann Friedrich Klotzsch pada tahun 1848.
