Nelsonia smithii adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di kawasan tropis Afrika, Madagaskar. Nama ilmiah Nelsonia smithii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Anders Sandøe Ørsted pada tahun 1855.
