Neltuma velutina adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu atau pohon dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga New Mexico dan Meksiko utara. Nama ilmiah Neltuma velutina pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Elmer Otis Wooton pada tahun 1928.
